| About Us | | The Reading Memorial High School Drama Club features a variety of productions each year. In the fall we produce a Broadway musical. Then in the winter we present two serious plays dealing with social change and awareness. In the spring there is usually a second musical or other theatrical event. Throughout the year, we produce the Annual All RMHS Talent Show, support the MR. RMHS contest and help to present the District Arts Festival. |

| The Shakespeare Society | | The Shakespeare Society is a relatively new addition to the RMHS Drama Club. Started by interested students in 2008 and directed by Mr. Endslow, The Shakespeare Society has performed at New Orleans Night and the Reading District ArtsFest. This year the group plans to expand its performance options, travel to see Shakespearean plays in the Boston area, and host a Shekespeare Festival for students. |

| Playwriting | | Each winter season brings the opportunity for young playwrights to hone their skills. This class, taught by Mr. White of the RMHS English Department, offers students the opportunity to write a ten minute play. Plays are given presentations in a student written play festival at RMHS. This workshop is run in conjunction with the Young Playwrights Project at Boston University. All students in the class will travel to BU in April to enjoy a presentation of student written plays staged by professional directors and actors. This includes plays written by RMHS students. If you are interested in participating you must write a letter of application to Mr. Endslow and attach a sample of your writing by December 1st. There is a minimal fee if you are chosen to participate in the class. |
